The highest peak in the San Gabriel mtns of Southern California at 10,055 feet was conquered (barely) by myself and a friend the other day. Actually, mike did great, I got a minor case of altitude sickness. Of course, close to 15 miles in one day could make anyone sick, altitude or not!
